Stronger together: supporting Armed Forces careers at EDF

At EDF, we recognise the dedication, resilience and leadership that come from a career in the Armed Forces. Whether you’re transitioning to civilian life, continuing your career as a reservist, or supporting a forces family, you’ll find a place here where your experience is valued and where you can continue to grow.

A shared commitment you can trust

Our commitment to the Armed Forces community is more than words. In May 2026 our CEO, Simone Rossi, reaffirmed our support of the Armed Forces Covenant at an event to relaunch EDF’s Forces Supporters Network on board HMS Belfast.

Through our ongoing backing of the Armed Forces Covenant, we continue to provide fair treatment, opportunity and understanding for veterans, reservists and forces families – recognising the leadership and expertise they bring to EDF.

We’re proud to support:

  • Veterans transitioning into civilian careers
  • Reservists balancing service and professional life
  • Serving personnel planning their next step
  • Forces families, whose support is essential

This commitment is championed at every level of our organisation, ensuring it translates into real opportunities and everyday support.

Turning military experience into meaningful careers

We understand that leaving the Armed Forces can be a significant change – but it’s also an opportunity to apply your skills in new ways. Military experience brings strengths that are highly valued across EDF, including:

  • Leadership and accountability
  • Problem-solving in high-pressure environments
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Adaptability and resilience

From engineering and project management to operations, HR, IT and commercial roles, there are many ways your experience can shape a successful career with us.

A community that understands your journey

Joining EDF means becoming part of a supportive community. Our Forces Supporters Network connects colleagues from across the business who share a common bond – whether through service, family connections, or advocacy.

This network helps to:

  • Build connections across military and civilian colleagues
  • Share experiences and support transitions
  • Create a sense of belonging from day one
  • Influence how we continue to support the Armed Forces community

It’s one of the ways we ensure you’re not starting from the beginning – you can join a community that understands where you’ve come from and supports where you’re going.

Recognising service – past and present

We’re proud to celebrate the contributions of those who serve and have served. Across our business, we recognise not only military achievements but also the everyday impact individuals have in supporting others, building inclusive teams, and strengthening our community.

Because at EDF, service doesn’t end when you leave the Forces – it evolves into new opportunities to make a difference.

Build your future with purpose

As a nation-critical organisation, the work we do matters. From generating and supplying low-carbon energy to supporting An Electric Britain, you’ll be part of something bigger – contributing your commitment to serving society in a different way.

Start your next chapter

At EDF we recognise that Success is Personal. Your skills, experience and perspective are valued here and we’re ready to help you build a career that works for you.
