EDF's Forces Supporters Network

At EDF, military experience is more than valued, it's recognised as a powerful asset. Our Forces Supporters Network helps veterans, reservists and Armed Forces supporters connect with a community that understands their journey.

By sharing experiences, offering support and championing the contribution of ex-military colleagues, the network helps members feel part of something familiar while building a successful new chapter in their civilian career.

EDF's Forces Supporters Network is a large and active group that brings colleagues together through shared experiences, mutual support and a commitment to the Armed Forces community.

From fundraising for military charities and raising awareness of service life, to supporting veterans, reservists and their families as they transition into civilian careers, the network plays an important role across EDF.

Whether you're looking to connect with others who understand your journey, access practical support or get involved in community initiatives, there's always an opportunity to be part of something meaningful.

A word from our Chair – Stan Webster

The Forces Supporters Network was formed with the intent in supporting fellow veterans and reservists across EDF UK. It’s an honour and a privilege to be Chair of EDF Forces Supporters Network and I take this responsibility seriously.

The community exists to assist forces personnel transition from service life, to continue supporting their journeys beyond service, to share our experience, offer advice or signpost them to professional organisations who can help further.

It’s a Network with a shared value and purpose; we all have similar experiences irrespective of service and we are there to support each other as we did when serving. We are also here to support other underrepresented groups.

Hear from our Executive Sponsor – Dr Sarah Jackson

The Network plays a vital role in recognising and supporting the veterans, reservists, and forces families within our organisation.

Veterans and reservists bring exceptional skills – leadership, resilience, teamwork, adaptability, and a strong sense of duty – that strengthen our organisation and enrich our culture. These qualities, shaped through service, translate directly into high performance and positive impact on the workplace.

Equally important is camaraderie. Having a space where people with shared experiences can connect, support one another, and maintain that sense of belonging makes a meaningful difference. The Forces Supporters Network helps foster this, offering support, community, and a place to celebrate the values that define the Armed Forces.

A shared commitment

At EDF, we're proud to stand alongside the Armed Forces community. In May 2026, CEO Simone Rossi reaffirmed our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant during a special event on HMS Belfast, celebrating the relaunch of our Forces Supporters Network.

That commitment reflects our ongoing focus on creating opportunities for veterans, reservists and forces families, while recognising the valuable experience, adaptability and leadership qualities they contribute across EDF.
