Early Careers: Guide to your Online Assessment

Submitted your application?
If successful, the next step is the Online Assessment.

The Online Assessment is an engaging and interactive way to showcase your unique behaviours while giving us a chance to learn more about you.

Once you’ve submitted your application, we’ll carefully review it. If successful, you’ll move on to the assessment stage - a fun and interactive way to measure your unique behaviours and for us to get to know you better!

Each task of the assessment captures data about how you naturally respond to different situations. This helps us see the real you while offering an engaging and enjoyable experience. It also ensures a fair process by countering unconscious bias, giving everyone an equal opportunity to shine. Keep an eye out for your invitation email from noreply@arcticshores.com

You don’t need to prepare in advance, but if you’d like, you’ll have the option to try out a practice task before starting the main assessment. This gives you a chance to get familiar with the format and feel confident before you begin.

There’s no right or wrong way to approach the tasks - just be yourself! If you require any reasonable adjustments, you’ll find details in the invitation email. Please don’t hesitate to reach out via the support email provided, and we’ll be happy to help.

You can complete the assessment on a desktop, mobile or tablet - whatever works best for you! Just make sure you have a stable internet connection and are using the latest version of your chosen browser. We recommend finding a quiet, comfortable space so you can fully focus on the tasks.

"I completed a virtual assessment and my advice is to be enthusiastic. You can do this by asking lots of questions, offering to take notes in group activities and ensure that other people’s ideas are listened to."

Jessica, Graduate

Here’s what to expect:

  • The assessment takes about 45-60 minutes to complete.
  • You’ll have clear instructions for each task, and you can revisit them if needed.
  • Some tasks may be timed (depending on the programme), but you’ll have breaks between each one.

Once you’ve completed the assessment, you’ll receive a personalised feedback report. This will give you valuable insights into your unique qualities and how they translate into real-world scenarios. We’ll be in touch shortly after to let you know the next steps.
