About the Role

Ready to lead leaders and shape the delivery of one of the UK's most significant nuclear engineering programmes? Do you enjoy bringing people, plans and technical expertise together to achieve complex outcomes? At EDF, Success is Personal. As a Systems Lot Manager, you'll play a key role in helping high-performing engineering teams deliver work that makes a lasting impact.

The Opportunity

As a Systems Lot Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of systems engineering activities supporting the Hinkley Point C project. Acting as the bridge between strategic objectives and technical delivery, you'll oversee group leaders and their engineering teams, helping to ensure milestones, budgets and technical commitments are delivered safely and successfully.

You’ll join us on a salary starting of £85,000 per annum. This is a hybrid role based from our #Bristol office at Aztec West, with flexibility to work from home alongside spending two days per week on site, moving to three days per week in the future. Occasional travel to France may be required to support project collaboration and delivery.

This is a leadership opportunity with real influence. You'll shape delivery schedules, drive performance against key milestones, support the development of engineering leaders, and contribute to EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain. Working across systems, process, chemical and I&C engineering disciplines, you'll help steer one of the UK's most important infrastructure programmes through its next phase of delivery.

Who You Are

We're looking for a Systems Lot Manager who combines strong engineering expertise with proven leadership experience. You'll be comfortable leading leaders, managing complex delivery programmes and coordinating multiple technical interfaces across large-scale nuclear projects. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • An engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • At least 15 years' experience in systems engineering or relevant experience on an EPR project
  • Proven experience leading engineering managers, group leaders or multi-disciplinary technical teams
  • Significant experience within the nuclear industry
  • Experience managing project delivery, schedules, budgets and resources across complex engineering programmes
  • Knowledge of EPR system design, I&C architecture and safety classifications
  • Experience managing technical, contractual and cross-functional project interfaces
  • A track record of delivering against deadlines, KPIs and programme milestones
  • Fluent written and spoken English

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading group leaders and engineering teams to deliver systems engineering activities across the Hinkley Point C programme
  • Building, managing and optimising delivery schedules to achieve key milestones and project objectives
  • Managing budgets, resource planning, forecasting and workload allocation across your scope of responsibility
  • Providing technical leadership across systems, process, chemical and I&C engineering disciplines while managing key project risks and interfaces
  • Driving team performance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement across engineering delivery

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a starting salary of £85,000 per annum, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
