The Opportunity
As a Strategy Analyst / Senior Strategy Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping business direction through insight-led analysis and structured problem solving. The role sits in EDF Business & Wholesale Services area and your work will support senior leaders with evidence-based recommendations that help drive performance across a complex and fast-moving organisation.
You’ll join us on a salary starting of £36,400 per annum depending on the experience you bring to this role. Flexible remote working is supported for the role, alongside opportunities to work from our London office or other EDF locations to encourage collaboration with wider team members and stakeholders.
Working across strategic planning, performance analysis and market insight, you’ll help EDF support the journey towards An Electric Britain. You’ll gain visibility across the business, develop your strategic skills, and contribute meaningfully to decisions that shape long-term outcomes.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Strategy Analyst / Senior Strategy Analyst who enjoys turning data into insight, working with ambiguity, and communicating clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. Are you experienced in…?
- Delivering structured analysis within strategy, consulting, commercial or performance-focused roles
- Building clear insights from complex quantitative and qualitative data with ability to structure problems and form clear business conclusions and recommendations
- Using Excel and PowerPoint, or equivalent tools, to a strong working standard
- Supporting decision-making across multiple teams and levels of seniority with strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
- Working effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments
The role is available for both analyst and senior analyst applications with senior analyst expectations building on the analyst skill set. Senior Analyst expectations would be to demonstrate greater ownership, autonomy, deeper commercial acumen, stronger and more proactive senior stakeholder influence and responsibility for shaping strategy and delivery leading end to end. Experience in energy or utilities markets as well as exposure to strategic planning and supporting senior stakeholders is highly desirable.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting strategic development through market analysis, scenario modelling and option evaluation
- Contributing to strategy reviews and priority setting, tracking delivery of strategic initiatives
- Producing clear analysis that links performance, value creation and strategy providing actionable insights and recommendations
- Creating executive-level packs, dashboards and briefing materials for senior level forums
- Conducting competitor, market and regulatory insight to identify risks and opportunities
- Collaborating across commercial, finance, operations and data teams supporting cross business initiatives and transformation programmes
