The Opportunity
As Senior Manager of Shift Trading, you’ll drive profitability across our Flow and Asset Trading activities within the Prompt horizon. You’ll optimise a diverse portfolio including nuclear, renewables, thermal generation, and storage – while leading a team that thrives on challenge and innovation.
From advanced trading strategies to automation, EDF will support your growth with opportunities to lead, innovate, and influence. You’ll help shape our ambition to be the best flexibility optimiser in GB – all while developing talent and driving commercial success.
This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home and attend our London office three days a week.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Shift Trading who is commercially driven and thrives in high-pressure environments. Are you experienced in…?
- Driving Gross Margin growth through tactical decision-making
- Power and Gas trading across the Prompt horizon
- Understanding market fundamentals, including price forecasting and spark spreads
- Managing compliance obligations and risk mandates
- Leading and developing trading teams to deliver high performance
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver Flow Trading Gross Margin targets through effective risk management
- Maximise value from the Grid-Scale Flex Portfolio within day
- Optimise the CCGT portfolio to achieve best-in-class market performance
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Oversee and manage a 24/7 shift rota for seamless trading operations
