Grade: A
A career that will deliver change. Together, we’ll help Britain achieve Net Zero.
Are you ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced HR environment? As Senior HR Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind seamless HR support, ensuring processes run smoothly while bringing fresh ideas to the table. If you thrive on variety, precision, and collaboration, this is your chance to shape the future of HR within a dynamic engineering team.
The Opportunity
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR‑E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR‑E’s integrated teams.
In this role, you’ll provide essential HR coordination and leadership, supporting the team with everything from onboarding and compliance to process improvements. It’s a unique and exciting opportunity to combine hands-on HR delivery with project involvement, helping shape a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
We offer a competitive salary based on experience, plus a benefits package including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle. We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.
We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.
We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead and develop the HR Coordinator team, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services across both office and site locations. From managing shared inboxes to streamlining processes, you’ll keep operations running smoothly and identify opportunities for improvement.
Your role will cover the full employee lifecycle—onboarding, screening, induction, and beyond—while maintaining accurate HR systems and preparing for the transition to a new HRIS in 2026. You’ll also support recruitment, compliance, and reporting, providing insights that help shape workforce planning and succession strategies.
Beyond day-to-day tasks, you’ll play a key role in projects that drive change and enhance employee experience. Whether it’s championing diversity and inclusion, coordinating training programmes, or supporting business improvement initiatives, your work will make a tangible difference.
Who You Are
You’re an experienced HR Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. You’ll be confident communicating at all levels, with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to build strong relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is important, and experience with HR systems will be an advantage. A background in HR coordination or administration is key, and while supervisory experience is helpful, it’s not essential. Ideally, you’ll hold an HR or Business Administration qualification, but above all, you’ll bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in developing your HR career.
Applications close for this role on (Friday 28th November), with interviews following shortly after.
