We are currently recruiting for a Security Implementation Manager to join an established and evolving team, where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to shaping its future direction and maturity as part of our broader security transformation. 

Your Role 

As a Security Implementation Manager, you will lead a team of security engineers responsible for implementing secure, scalable solutions across a diverse technology landscape. You will drive engineering maturity, ensure high-quality execution of security initiatives, and support the transformation of the team into a service-oriented internal provider. 

Core Responsibilities 

Engineering Leadership & Execution 

  • Lead the technical implementation of security solutions across business initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise security objectives. 

  • Collaborate with the aligned Scrum Master to support prioritization and ensure engineering resources are effectively deployed. 

  • Work closely with portfolio delivery leads across business units to build strong working relationships and ensure engineering efforts are aligned with delivery expectations. 

  • Ensure successful handover of implemented solutions to our Security Services team. 

Engineering Standards & Quality 

  • Develop and mature engineering practices to improve consistency, scalability, and quality of solution implementation. 

  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, driving continuous improvement and reducing inefficiencies. 

  • Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and reduce waste across engineering processes. 

Service Enablement & Collaboration 

  • Work with Service Delivery teams to define and evolve the scope of security services offered to the wider business. 

  • Produce clear, high-standard monthly reporting for operational stakeholders and senior management.  

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance security assurance standards and practices. 

Team Development & Capability Building 

  • Establish tailored development and training plans for engineers, supporting career progression and technical growth. 

  • Expand product and domain knowledge across the team to build depth and resilience. 

  • Provide mentoring and line management to engineers at varying levels of experience. 

Desirable Attributes 

While not essential, the following qualities will help you thrive in the role and contribute to broader strategic goals: 

  • A strong interest in product strategy and an appetite to work closely with product managers and senior leadership to align engineering efforts with business direction. 

  • Exposure to Security Design practices and working closely with security architects to translate high-level designs into actionable engineering tasks. 

  • Experience contributing to the transformation of technical teams into service-oriented functions. 

  • Familiarity with optimizing security controls and technologies to maximize value from existing vendors. 

  • Exposure to agile delivery frameworks such as SAFe and an understanding of how engineering teams operate within them
