About the Role

Ready to lead a team that shapes the future of energy sales? Want to make a real impact by driving growth and building strong client relationships? At EDF, Success is Personal – your journey is powered by us.

The Opportunity

As a Sector Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping businesses transition towards An Electric Britain. You’ll lead a high-performing team, manage key accounts, and deliver innovative energy solutions that support a low-carbon future.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this is a hybrid role based at our #Exeter or Central London office a couple of times a week. There will be regular visits to our customer or TPI offices and the flexibility to work from home the rest of the time.

You’ll have the chance to influence strategy, coach talented professionals, and manage your own portfolio of complex, high-value clients. We’ll support your growth with learning opportunities and a collaborative culture that values ambition and innovation.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Sector Manager who thrives in a dynamic, performance-focused environment. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:

  • Proven track record of leading a sales or account management team within the UK energy industry – ideally electricity supply to large business customers
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, contract structures (fixed, flexible and pass-through) and risk management principles
  • Demonstrable success in negotiating complex commercial agreements and achieving ambitious sales targets
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven and customer-centric approach

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and coaching a team to deliver commercial success
  • Managing a portfolio of complex, high-value key clients
  • Driving growth from existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities
  • Negotiating and securing large-scale energy contracts
  • Collaborating across EDF to deliver customer-focused energy solutions

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside your salary, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that’s unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it’s your journey, powered by us.
