About the Role

Ready to make an impact by helping shape the quality standards behind one of the UK’s most complex engineering projects? As part of EDF, you’ll be contributing to a team where your growth matters because Success is Personal. This is your opportunity to influence major construction, engineering, and supply chain activity while developing your career your way.

The Opportunity

As a Quality Management Lead, you’ll help ensure the safe and effective delivery of critical work across the Hinkley Point C project. You’ll play a key role in supporting the transition towards An Electric Britain by overseeing quality assurance and control across engineering, manufacturing, and construction activities. Your influence will help maintain high standards, strengthen supplier performance, and support progress on one of the UK’s most significant energy programmes.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role offers flexible working. You’ll spend 1–2 days a week on site across #Aztec, #SDC and #HPC, with European travel as required. You’ll balance home working with meaningful on‑site collaboration as part of a supportive, expert quality team.

You’ll help drive effective quality management arrangements while working with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and project teams. You’ll gain exposure to complex technical environments, opportunities to broaden your expertise, and the chance to influence decisions at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Quality Management Lead who brings strong technical understanding, stakeholder collaboration, and confidence working across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • Experience in project delivery within nuclear or other safety‑critical industries
  • A solid understanding of quality assurance and quality control in large, complex projects
  • Experience working with supply chain organisations and project teams
  • Ability to analyse data and produce reports
  • Proven ability to influence, challenge constructively and build effective relationships
  • A HNC/HND or degree in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent qualification
  • Broad experience of implementing quality‑related solutions
  • A proven track record of delivering results
  • Leadership experience within a QA/QC environment in nuclear or safety‑critical industries
  • Experience resolving issues across multicultural stakeholder groups
  • Fluency in English

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviewing, accepting and monitoring Contractors Quality Assurance Plans
  • Producing Project Quality Control Plans and ensuring deployment of key contractual arrangements
  • Coordinating and monitoring manufacturing surveillance activities
  • Supporting the resolution of non‑conformances, corrective actions and documentation reviews
  • Leading the acceptance of manufacturing documentation and quality records

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, and a market‑leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days and more.
