That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What you’ll be doing

You will maintain high performance standards by supporting system handovers, commissioning, maintenance, and contract partner activities, ensuring plant and equipment are safe and ready for work. This role will develop into a shift role with emergency team duties alongside the operational duties, as dictated by the project. In addition to core operational responsibilities application of the E+M safety rules is expected up to and including SAP E+M and SAP HV.

A key part of your role is to monitor plant performance and ensure all activities comply with site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company policies, and safety rules. You’ll contribute to organisational learning by reporting issues, reviewing operational experience, mentoring others, and ensuring operating procedures remain fit for purpose through regular reviews and updates. You’ll take responsibility for your actions, acknowledge errors, seek support when needed, and perform emergency duties as trained.

You will foster a strong safety culture by constructively challenging behaviours, reinforcing nuclear professionalism, and recognizing individual and team achievements. Additionally, you’ll support work management and outage processes, participate in training initiatives, and assist with ad-hoc projects and self-assessments to help maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Who you are

Being an Operations Technician means bringing a solid understanding of plant systems and proven experience supporting the delivery of complex plant system projects. You’ll have demonstrable knowledge of system-derived hazards and be confident working in safety-critical environments where precision and vigilance are essential.

We’re looking for someone with a background in power generation or heavy industry, a technical or engineering background is desirable, especially where it supports working in regulated, high-integrity environments.
