The Opportunity
As a Metering and Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting EDF Business Solutions’ metering activities – helping us deliver reliable services and maintain compliance as we move towards An Electric Britain. Your expertise will ensure technical resilience and regulatory confidence across our operations.
You’ll join us on a salary starting of £35,600 per annum. You’ll work from home most of the time, with occasional trips to the office to connect with your team and collaborate face-to-face when it matters most.
From troubleshooting metering systems to supporting audits and compliance processes, you’ll gain exposure to advanced metering technologies and industry standards. We’ll help you grow your skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment where your contribution truly matters.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Metering and Compliance Specialist who thrives on problem-solving and precision. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
- Strong knowledge of electricity metering systems and communications (AMR/HH)
- In depth knowledge of CVA/SVA compliance processes, KPMG and TAA audit requirements
- High proficiency in manufacturers AMR meter software
- Excellent communication skills (internal and external stakeholder engagement)
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel essential)
- Comprehensive understanding of the electricity metering industry, including Elexon Code of Practice and BSCP procedures
- Experience liaising with energy suppliers, distribution network operators, and compliance officers
- Experience with metering data systems/software
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide technical and compliance support across metering activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Support CVA and SVA compliance activities and respond to audits
- Review and validate technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Offer remote technical assistance to field operatives and maintain metering software
