As a Maintenance Technician at EDF UK, you’ll be part of a collaborative team maintaining critical systems at Sizewell B Power Station. Whether your background is in electrical or mechanical maintenance, your technical skills and adaptability will be key to our success.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary range associated with this role is between £42383 - £68958. What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and reporting safety, environmental, and plant issues promptly. Your work will ensure that maintenance activities are conducted safely and in line with procedures, helping to protect both people and the environment.

You’ll maintain accurate records and provide valuable feedback on plant conditions before and after maintenance. Your insights will help us continuously improve our maintenance programmes and ensure operational excellence.

You’ll also take an active role in your own development, participating in performance appraisals and working towards personal growth goals. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the reliability and safety of our operations.

Who You Are

You bring a solid background in maintenance, ideally gained in power stations, heavy industry, or manufacturing. You’ve completed a time-served Maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent, and hold qualifications at GCSE and Ordinary National Qualification level (or equivalent). Your enthusiasm, organisational skills, and communication abilities make you a valuable team member, and you’re eager to learn and grow.

If you’re an Electrical Technician, you’ll have experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance, with knowledge of Low and High Voltage switchgear, electrical testing, battery chargers, and Uninterruptable Power Supplies. Familiarity with DSEAR systems is a plus.

If you’re a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be skilled in maintaining pumps, gearboxes, valves, bearings, Overhead Gantry Cranes, pipework flanges, and machine alignment techniques. Your hands-on experience will be essential to keeping our systems running smoothly.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last 3 years.
