Pay, Benefits & Culture
The salary range associated with this role is between £45,066 to £81,267. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll assess plant performance and recommend engineering programmes for outages and maintenance. You’ll shape future operational strategies by proposing modifications that enhance long-term reliability and safety.
You’ll diagnose faults and deliver solutions for generators and associated equipment, applying innovative engineering practices and data analysis to drive improvements across the fleet. Your insights will contribute to business plans and performance enhancements.
You’ll also provide technical specifications, oversee commissioning activities, and support reverse engineering efforts. Your expertise will reinforce safety and professionalism, ensuring a Zero Harm environment while promoting continuous improvement.
Who You Are
You bring hands-on experience with large electrical generators and associated equipment, ideally within a power station environment. A degree or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, and membership in a professional association is a plus.
Your knowledge of repair, refurbishment, and modification methodologies will be key, along with familiarity with regulated work management processes. You’re committed to safety, quality, and innovation, and ready to thrive in a collaborative, inclusive workplace.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last 3 years.
