Ready to shape the future of energy flexibility and help Britain achieve net zero? Want to lead the design of innovative battery storage products that support a cleaner, smarter energy system? At EDF, Success is Personal – and with us, your career journey is yours to shape.
The Opportunity
As our Flexibility Product Design Lead, you’ll play a key role in developing high-performing flexibility products that support EDF’s strategic goals. You’ll lead the commercial and product lifecycle of behind-the-meter battery storage solutions (both in stationary storage and e-mobility) – from modelling, valuation and contract design to delivery and performance monitoring.
You’ll work in a fast-growing area of the energy industry, collaborating with high-performing teams across Tech (both internal and external), Ops, Legal and Sales. You’ll help shape our flexibility roadmap, bring new propositions to life, and contribute to a team culture that values learning, innovation and impact.
This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home and attend one of our offices as required. We welcome applications from outside of #London.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Flexibility Product Design Lead who thrives on complexity and collaboration. Do you offer…
- Excellent knowledge of the UK wholesale and flexibility markets
- Experience designing and delivering commercial energy or flexibility products
- Strong analytical skills with modelling and valuation techniques
- Proven ability to simplify complexity and build scalable, compliant solutions
- Commercial acumen with the ability to assess customer needs, market dynamics and financial impact
- Experience working with technology teams in an Agile or iterative environment
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning and delivering a product roadmap for your product suite
- Leading the full commercial lifecycle of battery storage products primarily in B2B setting
- Translating customer and business needs into scalable product offerings
- Coordinating delivery across Tech, Ops and Business Development
- Monitoring market trends to identify opportunities for innovation
