Facilities Management Assurance Lead
Full-Time, Permanent. Contractual Location: Hinkley Point C, 5 days a week on site.
Step into a role where your leadership and technical expertise will help shape the future of one of Europe’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. As Facilities Management Assurance Lead at EDF UK, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and resilience across critical services at Hinkley Point C. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about making a tangible impact, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose.
The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
As the FM Assurance Lead, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing the delivery of essential facilities services that support the construction of HPC. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Services Delivery Lead, you’ll ensure services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with project demands. From shaping policy to influencing procurement and operations, your input will be key to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement across the board.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
In addition to a competitive salary of £64,232, we offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle.
We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.
We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.
We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the driving force behind ensuring that all facilities management services meet statutory, regulatory, and project-specific requirements. Through regular audits, inspections, and performance monitoring, you’ll identify areas for improvement and ensure non-compliance issues are swiftly resolved. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing environment across all HPC and associated development sites.
You’ll work closely with contract partners, fostering a collaborative and respectful culture that champions integrity and shared success. By ensuring teams are fully competent and aligned with project goals, you’ll help deliver services that exceed expectations and support the wider construction programme.
Your role will also involve supporting nuclear site licence compliance, using data analysis and reporting to uphold safety and assurance standards. With a proactive mindset and a ‘one team’ approach, you’ll anticipate challenges and implement solutions before they escalate.
Who You Are
You bring a strong foundation in facilities or building management, ideally supported by a degree or equivalent experience. You’re well-versed in relevant legislation—fire safety, water hygiene, and asset management systems like CAFM and SFG20—and have a proven track record in service-led environments, particularly within high-security or large-scale projects.
You’re confident, adaptable, and thrive in dynamic settings. Your communication skills help you build effective relationships, and you’re committed to learning from both success and setbacks. Experience in behavioural safety programmes, IOSH accreditation, or a background in FM environments would be a bonus—but your willingness to collaborate and lead with integrity is what truly sets you apart.
Additionally, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
Closing date for applications is Sunday 17th August, interviews will follow shortly after.
