Your leadership will help drive innovation, ensure technical excellence, and support the transition to a low-carbon world.

That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll provide strategic technical leadership across the CI-BoP Area, ensuring that safety, quality, time, and cost are always front of mind. You’ll guide your team through a wide range of engineering challenges, making key decisions that shape the success of the project.
You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering long-term strategies, managing risks, and ensuring that technical integrity is maintained throughout. Your work will involve close collaboration with delivery programmes, construction teams, and technical experts across the UK and France, ensuring that all decisions are aligned with the project’s goals.
As a leader, you’ll also manage a team of engineers—supporting their growth, overseeing recruitment and training, and ensuring the team has the skills needed to thrive. Your ability to bring clarity to complexity and drive progress will be essential to the success of HPC.
Who You Are
You bring a strong foundation in engineering, ideally with a degree or equivalent qualification, and a proven ability to lead in complex, multi-disciplinary environments. Your leadership style is collaborative and inclusive, and you’re skilled at uniting diverse stakeholders to drive technical progress.
You’re comfortable managing large budgets and navigating technical and commercial challenges. While you don’t need to be an expert in every discipline, you can confidently engage with specialists across areas like mechanical systems, safety cases, and materials science.
You’re adept at switching between technical detail and strategic thinking, and you communicate clearly at all levels—including with executive teams. Experience in the nuclear industry and a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks will help you hit the ground running. Most importantly, you’re driven by purpose and ready to make a real impact on the UK’s journey to Net Zero.
Closing date for applications is Sunday 3rd August, interviews will follow shortly after.
Additionally, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
