About the Role

Bristol (hybrid working)

A career that will deliver change. Together, we’ll help Britain achieve Net Zero.

Are you ready to lead a team delivering the electrical systems that power the UK’s most ambitious nuclear projects? As Electrical Installation Group Lead, you’ll guide a specialist team through complex challenges, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of critical infrastructure. This is your opportunity to shape the future of energy while developing your leadership in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.

EPR-E is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 to lead the design and realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of delivering the electrical systems for Hinkley Point C and preparing for Sizewell C, contributing to the UK’s low-carbon future.

That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

Based in our Bristol office, with occasional travel to France, you’ll lead a team responsible for delivering electrical installation packages across small power systems, lighting, and site socket infrastructure. You’ll work closely with the Electrical Design Manager and other discipline leads to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.

You’ll oversee supplier contracts, manage design studies, and ensure that all deliverables meet technical and regulatory standards. Your role will also involve integrating site feedback, coordinating with international teams, and ensuring that documentation is accurate and aligned with evolving project needs.

As a leader, you’ll be responsible for team development, resource planning, and promoting a strong nuclear safety culture. You’ll act as a key technical authority, ensuring that your team’s work supports the broader goals of the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C projects.

Who You Are

You’ll have a strong background in electrical engineering, ideally within the nuclear or energy sector. You’ve led teams before and know how to manage complex workloads, meet deadlines, and inspire others to deliver their best.

You’re a confident communicator, comfortable working across borders and disciplines. You’re proactive, collaborative, and always looking for ways to improve. Experience with EPR systems, safety classification, or UK nuclear licensing is a plus—but your leadership, adaptability, and technical insight are what really matter.

You understand the importance of diversity, inclusion, and safety in the workplace, and you’re ready to be a role model for others in the team.

Applications close for this role on Monday 1st September, with interviews following shortly after.
