The Opportunity
As a Commercial Risk Manager, you’ll play a central role in supporting the Supply Chain function at Hinkley Point C. You’ll help drive our transition towards An Electric Britain by providing high‑level insight into the commercial risks that shape project delivery and long‑term value.
You’ll join us on a salary starting from £82,000 per annum, with hybrid working that includes a minimum of two days each week at our #AztecWest office. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced commercial leaders, gaining exposure to major project risk management and contract strategy.
You’ll contribute to shaping how commercial risks are understood, tracked and acted upon. You’ll engage with specialists across EDF to drive improvements, support dispute avoidance and strengthen our commercial oversight. You’ll also help build the insight that guides senior leadership to make confident, informed decisions.

Strong understanding of risk and supply chain complexity
Demonstrable experience in contract management in high‑risk environments
Highly developed commercial acumen with a strategic mindset
Experience working with or overseeing complex contractual arrangements
Ability to interpret risk, guide action and influence senior stakeholders
Security Vetting
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading strategic oversight of supply chain commercial risks
Supporting dispute avoidance and escalation processes
Providing actionable insight to leadership on high‑risk contracts
Coordinating subject matter experts such as Forensic Planners and Quantum specialists
Ensuring commercial risks are captured, assessed and reported effectively
