The Opportunity
As a Commercial & Finance Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering the financial and commercial insight that underpins major programmes across HPC, SZC, and wider EPR‑E activities. You’ll help ensure robust reporting, accurate forecasting, and effective commercial governance that supports the successful delivery of some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects.
EDF EPR Engineering UK provides the engineering design for nuclear island buildings, systems, and equipment for Hinkley Point C and similar projects. Working at the intersection of Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery, you’ll contribute to performance visibility, cost assurance, and commercial alignment across a diverse portfolio of engineering work.
This hybrid role is based at #AztecWest in #Bristol, with flexibility to work from home, though you’ll typically spend at least three days a week collaborating with colleagues and partners.
Operating within EPR Engineering’s Commercial & Finance function, you’ll broaden your analytical capability while shaping financial processes that support programme objectives. You’ll engage with multidisciplinary teams, influence key decision‑making, and contribute to the continued growth of a high‑performing organisation driving major nuclear infrastructure projects.

- A master’s degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial or commercial analysis, ideally within a project‑based environment.
- Strong analytical capability, autonomy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, with clear communication and confident stakeholder engagement.
- A proactive, team‑oriented approach to supporting cross‑functional Finance, Commercial and Project teams.
- Fluent English, with desirable strengths such as Power BI/Anaplan knowledge, understanding of rates or Work Orders, or French language skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning core commercial and financial analysis, including annual rate reviews, pricing support, and performance insights.
- Coordinating business planning and forecasting cycles, ensuring consistent, validated inputs across major programmes.
- Leading the preparation and continuous improvement of monthly client reporting and performance monitoring.
- Driving enhancements in reporting tools, data quality, and digitalisation initiatives across Finance and Commercial teams.
- Managing the end‑to‑end Work Order process, ensuring alignment between scope, pricing, rates, and forecasts.
- Collaborating with Finance, Commercial, Project and French cost teams as a trusted partner for data, analysis, and management reporting.
