About the Role

Success is Personal. It’s your journey, powered by us.

“To be delivering projects for Hinkley Point C, the biggest construction project in Europe, is something I didn’t expect to be doing at the age of 18!” – Isabella, Assistant Project Manager, formerly a Business Apprentice

The Opportunity

Our Business Administration Apprenticeship offers a starting salary of £25,000 and the chance to gain a Level 3 Business Administration Advanced qualification. This two-year programme gives you the opportunity to work across different departments, developing a wide range of transferable skills that will set you up for a successful career.

You’ll experience varied roles within our business, supporting some of the most exciting projects at EDF. Your learning will combine practical experience with academic study, giving you the confidence and capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll study at University Centre Somerset (UCS) in Bridgwater one day a month, with additional remote learning. Alongside this, you’ll have access to our on-site Apprentice Hub and digital resources, plus support from tutors, your line manager, and our Early Careers team. All while contributing to the journey towards An Electric Britain.

Your Work Location

You’ll be based at Aztec West, Bristol, so you’ll need to live within commuting distance. You’ll also attend UCS in Bridgwater for monthly study days and benefit from flexible working arrangements where possible.

What You’ll Experience

  • Rotations across different business departments
  • Hands-on involvement in major projects like Hinkley Point C
  • Practical learning supported by experienced mentors
  • Opportunities to develop organisational and communication skills
  • Access to dedicated early careers support and resources
  • A mix of on-site and remote learning for flexibility

Who You Are

To be eligible for this EDF apprenticeship programme, you need to have:

  • Five GCSEs in the A* to C or 9 to 4 range, including English and Maths, or a relevant Level 2 qualification

You’ll be self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to balance study with work. You’ll also bring strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when needed.

At EDF we work hard to maintain a culture where Everyone’s Welcome. We encourage and embrace diversity and how it can improve our experience and performance at work. It is nevertheless a requirement that those who join us have the right to work in the UK. Whilst sponsorship may be a possibility, we reserve the right in our decisions to give priority to those who already have the right to work in the UK.

Security Vetting

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a starting salary of £25,000 per annum and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that’s unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it’s your journey, powered by us.

Everyone is welcome at EDF; we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments. As part of our commitment to the Disability Confident scheme, any applicant who meets the minimum criteria (which will include holding a relevant degree discipline/grade and achieving the required pass mark for Stage 1 Testing) will be guaranteed an interview.

We anticipate significant interest in this apprenticeship – so please don’t delay, apply today! Join us and find your success at EDF!

Our Virtual Assessment Centre will take place on 1st April 2026.
