About the Role

Ready to shape major infrastructure that powers Britain’s future? As an Assistant Project Manager in Civils, you’ll support complex delivery at one of Europe’s largest construction programmes, building skills and impact every day. At EDF, Success is Personal.

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Project Manager (Civils), you’ll play a key role within multi-disciplinary teams delivering critical packages at Hinkley Point C. You’ll support safe, high-quality construction while building your project management expertise on a nationally significant programme driving the journey towards An Electric Britain.

Alongside a competitive salary, this role is based on site at #HinkleyPointC, with a hybrid approach of at least three days on site each week and flexibility across office or home for the remaining two days. After approximately 18–24 months, you’ll relocate to France to join EDF SA and support EPR2 projects such as Penly, Bugey, or Gravelines, gaining exposure to international project delivery and large-scale nuclear programmes. You’ll need to offer business-level proficiency in French communication skills.

From stakeholder engagement to reporting, you’ll gain exposure across the full project lifecycle. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, develop your technical and commercial awareness, and build a strong foundation for progression within EDF’s nuclear new build programme.

Who You Are

As an Assistant Project Manager in Civils, you’re organised, proactive, and confident working across complex projects. You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders and are motivated to develop your project delivery expertise. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • Experience supporting projects across the lifecycle from concept to delivery
  • Working knowledge of project management principles, tools or frameworks
  • Experience coordinating meetings, tracking actions and producing project documentation
  • Ability to analyse data, including schedules, budgets or performance reports
  • Strong communication skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting Project Managers with planning, coordination and delivery activities
  • Managing stakeholder meetings, recording actions and tracking progress
  • Producing reports across schedule, cost, quality and risk
  • Supporting contract administration and document control processes
  • Working collaboratively across engineering, construction and commercial teams

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a competitive salary, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
