The Opportunity
As an Operational Work Management Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping and leading the Work Management Department, ensuring alignment with project milestones. Working within the Pre-Operations Team, you’ll represent the Work Management Department’s requirements while supporting the Work Management Manager in building a high-performing team.
You’ll contribute to developing the department’s strategy through construction, commissioning, and operations, leading the implementation of Work Management processes and tools. With access to expert support, training, and technical documentation, you’ll ensure the necessary resources and systems are in place to drive operational success.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while identifying training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing Work Management Processes that align with industry best practices, regulatory expectations, and future operational needs. Additionally, you’ll provide ownership and direction for the development of digital tools to support the operational station.
You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Commissioning teams to ensure Work Management Processes integrate effectively within the broader operational framework while setting clear performance objectives and monitoring progress.
Who you are
You’ll have a background in science or engineering with a relevant degree, HNC, or equivalent. You'll have strong knowledge of nuclear safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance standards, ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks. Experience in planning and executing complex work in a nuclear power station is essential.
Proven experience leading teams in high-pressure environments, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement is key. You'll manage teams effectively to meet performance objectives and identify training opportunities to enhance team skills.
Experience with commissioning processes, asset management tools (like Asset Suite), data reporting, and Microsoft applications is preferred. Familiarity with INPO AP928 and work management processes is a plus. Your ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements will support team and organisational success.
