Join our team of Environmental Management professionals at EDF UK as a Waste & Resource Lead. In this role, you'll support the waste management requirements of the HPC Project, ensuring compliance while delivering the best outcomes commercially and environmentally. You'll be backed by our Environment & Sustainability team and Waste Management Contractor, making a real impact on the project's success.
The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
As the Waste & Resources Lead, you will be joining one of the most exciting and challenging projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK. This position, within the Hinkley Point C Project’s Site Environment Team, will involve working closely with our Construction Teams and Contract Partners to manage waste produced onsite as the project moves through construction into the installation and commissioning phases.
It will require routine engagement with Contract Partners, Project Managers, Construction Delivery colleagues and the Environment Agency. The successful candidate will be an established environmental or waste management professional with a proven track record of waste management within the construction, or other similar scale industrial sector.
