About the Role

Training Instructor

Ready to make a real impact? At Sizewell B Power Station, we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about delivering engaging and informative training programmes. If you thrive on helping others grow and want to be part of a team that values your expertise, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Opportunity

As a Training Instructor, you’ll play a vital role in our Training team, delivering safety-related training and ensuring high standards across our programmes. You’ll be at the heart of our mission to keep our site staff and contractors informed, safe, and empowered.

This is your chance to coordinate and oversee training that truly makes a difference. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the learning experience and driving performance improvements across the board.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary range associated with this role is between £45,461 to £95,993, however the starting salary for this appointment will likely be made within the range of £45,461 to £81,263. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.  We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be part of a collaborative Training Team, ensuring that both initial and refresher training needs are met. Your work will directly contribute to performance improvements and the development of our workforce.

You’ll design and deliver safety and legislative training plans, continuously reviewing and enhancing sessions to support staff development. You’ll also coordinate and administer your training programmes, ensuring everything runs smoothly and effectively.

Your role will involve engaging with industry and fleet reviews to uphold training standards, supporting emergency scheme exercises, and liaising with external providers to enrich our training offerings.

Who You Are

You may hold an HNC qualification or have equivalent experience – we value both. What matters most is your ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships. If you’ve taught or instructed before, that’s a bonus, but it’s not essential.

We’ll support you every step of the way to achieve EDF FCI (Fleet Certified Instructor) status. If you’re enthusiastic about helping others learn and grow, and you’re ready to bring your unique perspective to our team, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date for applications is 8th October. Interviews to follow shortly afterwards.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last 3 years.
