If so, we have an exciting 9-month secondment opportunity for you to join our team as an Operational Training and Development Specialist!
The Opportunity
As a Training & Development specialist within EDF Business Solutions, you’ll analyse, design, deliver and evaluate training interventions and develop new media solutions which meet the learning and development needs of the EBS team, to ensure that as a function we have the right skills to meet our current and future business needs.

What you’ll be doing
EBS is a fast paced, multi-functional team with a wide range of roles and activities. The breadth of activity across the team will require different media and methods to enable us to train and develop our teams in the right way.
Reporting to the Enablement & Training Manager, you’ll interact with teams EBS wide at multiple levels within the organisation. You’ll also need to link into the wider Corporate & Retail Learning & Development teams to keep EBS at the forefront of any new tools, techniques and initiatives.
Who you are
- You are comfortable taking ownership and making decisions; You hold the power to make a positive difference.
- You are a confident and enthusiastic person with a passion for delivering training in person as well as virtually
- Use the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodology to undertake a comprehensive training needs analysis at the outset of each training cycle to determine the specific training need. Have a full understanding of the scope of the intervention, the method of delivery and agree the success factors to ensure the training will positively impact business and individual performance.
- You see things through to the end, providing expert training solutions to business requestors, proactively identifying areas for intervention to ensure that all training delivers the agreed learning objectives and clear business benefits.
- You are skilled in digital content creation and look for opportunities for EBS in this space.
- You understand best practice in training design, including digital learning, classroom delivery and blended approaches. Appropriately apply this understanding to the agreed development need to identify a best-fit and cost-effective solution.
- You care about employee experience, making sure our EBS teams see and feel our behaviours through training and development.
- You recognise the need for continuous improvement of the EBS Business, understanding what our opportunities are and thinking of ways for us to exceed our business objectives.
- You are passionate about development and look for opportunities to improve our L&D offering for our EBS teams.
- You’ll use the SAT methodology to evaluate the learning and development delivered against the agreed key success measures. You will ensure lessons learnt are fed into future training interventions through a robust continuous improvement cycle.
