Join a team where your individuality can power innovation, coding for a cleaner future. At EDF, Success is Personal. As a Software Engineer, you'll build electrical vehicle mobile application solutions to support Britain’s Net Zero journey – all while shaping your career, your way.
Our software development team is the engine of our business – and it’s growing fast. Whether you’re a Full-stack Software Engineer, or a Front-end, Back-End, or somewhere-in-between Software Developer, EDF is a home for creative innovators, free-thinkers, and #ConsultantsWhoCode.
The Opportunity
As a Full-stack Software Engineer with a focus on mobile applications, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our asset management team – the people powering the electric vehicles and batteries we deliver to our customers, supporting our low-carbon future and the UK’s journey to Net Zero.
You’ll join us on a salary starting from at least £63,000 per annum, with the potential for an annual bonus. This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home alongside attending one of our offices – in either #London, #Hove or #Exeter – once per month, or more frequently if you prefer.
From cloud-based technology to collaborative pair programming, EDF will support your growth across the full stack – alongside AWS vouchers and opportunities to mentor junior engineers and participate in hackathons, Dev Days, and industry seminars.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing full-stack solutions by designing, building, and optimising applications
- Frequently building and deploying Infrastructure as Code on AWS
- Writing automated tests and develop end-to-end tests using Playwright
- Contributing to sprint planning and daily stand-ups in a Scrum team environment
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, teamwork, and innovation. In addition to expanding your knowledge and building great applications, you’ll be part of a dynamic start-up culture combined with the stability and backing of a large organisation.
Do you offer demonstrable experience in…?
- Building applications from conception to delivery and supportability
- Front-end and back-end serverless AWS capabilities
- Conceptional design, working with UI/UX on components
- Writing front-end coding – using React Native and TypeScript
- Terraform, or an equivalent Infrastructure as Code tool
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a starting salary of at least £63,000 per annum, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, product discounts, experience days, and more.
