Sizewell C Project Training Group Head
Are you ready to shape the future of nuclear energy training? Join us at EDF UK and lead the charge in developing the next generation of skilled professionals at Sizewell C.
The Opportunity
As the Sizewell C Project Training Group Head, you’ll lead our NSA project training team, ensuring the workforce is equipped to meet the demands of construction, commissioning, and long-term operation.
This is your chance to make a tangible impact by overseeing the development and delivery of technical and hands-on training programmes that uphold our commitment to excellence, compliance, and innovation. You’ll be working on site at Sizewell C for a minimum of three days a week, with the rest of the week working from home.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
Alongside a competitive starting salary, we offer a full benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear New Build agreement. We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.
We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.
We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead a dynamic team of instructors, coordinators, and support staff to deliver comprehensive training across all lifecycle phases of Sizewell C. Your strategic oversight will ensure our programmes align with evolving capability needs and regulatory standards.
From developing competence-based programmes in areas such as Construction, Emergency Preparedness, and Health & Safety to ensuring our materials meet ONR and industry standards, your work will be pivotal in shaping a capable and compliant workforce.
You’ll also build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, champion a culture of safety, learning, and inclusion, and nurture a high-performing team focused on personal development and wellbeing.
Who You Are
You’ll have an HND or an equivalent qualification, along with a relevant training qualification. You’ll need to have proven leadership experience in training, especially in nuclear, high-hazard, or other regulated environments.
It’s important that you have a strong background in designing and delivering technical training programs. You should also be familiar with systematic training methods, licence requirements, and quality assurance.
You’ll have experience putting multi-year training plans into action and be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders. On top of that, you’ll be able to manage complex relationships and support team growth, especially in safety-critical settings.
Applications close on 1st October, with interviews following shortly after.
