The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join the team on a temporary 12-month basis. The Senior Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Supply Chain team and its stakeholders with end-to-end supply chain activities, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs, system capabilities, company policies and compliance requirements. As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist you’ll be a key business partner, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs, providing governance, systems and compliance guidance to support delivery.

What you’ll be doing

As the Senior Supply Chain Specialist, you will be accountable for the support and development of our Supply Chain systems, but we encourage a high degree of cross-over between the systems and the governance roles; ensuring close collaboration in the team and close alignment between our policies, processes and the systems that support them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and delivery of compliant, efficient and effective systems and support across the breadth of supply chain categories, including the development and use of business information management and reporting systems.
  • Working with and influencing Supply Chain teams, subject matter experts and business owners at all levels, including senior leadership team, ensuring supply chain systems, processes and controls are in place and maintained in a way that provides the Business with commercially acceptable outcomes.
  • Taking ownership of determining and managing the priorities for the stakeholders, working with minimal supervision on all aspects of the role.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Supply Chain team and business colleagues to create a great place to work.
  • Working with the off-shore support team to provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation while consistently adhering to governance and compliance needs, safety protocols and environmental standards.
  • As one of the Business Owners of Supply Chain systems, you’ll be responsible for, establishing and managing strong relationships with the system and service providers.
  • Where relevant, identifying and leveraging group procurement synergies.
  • Safeguarding the company by ensuring that all Supply Chain processes are efficient, transparent and compliant with internal policies and external regulations, with particular focus on driving ethical and sustainable sourcing practices. You’ll ensure these processes are followed and where appropriate deviations occur, the reasons for these are investigated and documented in advance and understood.
  • Ensuring risks are understood and mitigated to an agreed level through effective systems, processes and professional relationships with our key stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensuring third party suppliers and contractors both understand and work in alignment with our health, safety, environment and quality practices and standards.

Who you are

To excel in this role, you will:

  • Proven experience in managing and administering enterprise level IT systems
  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of systems and procurement processes, with proven experience and a proactive attitude in data management, automation, compliance and reporting.
  • You’ll be confident navigating complex control frameworks, collaborating across departments and continuously enhancing your system and governance acumen.
  • Have proven experience in Supply Chain process management, including supplier sourcing, documentation, evaluation, and selection and management of the tendering and award of multidiscipline contracts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, coupled with strong verbal reasoning and analytical skills to allow you to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences.
  • Excellent presentation, influencing and facilitation skills and the ability to enable effective stakeholder engagement and decision-making support.
  • Experience working within procurement or supply chain environments with a solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain and supplier management processes.
  • Forward thinking mindset with an appreciation for how automation, robotics and AI can be leveraged to enhance to business efficiencies, reduce risk and improve outcomes.
