The Opportunity…
Join our Security Engineering team within Enterprise Information Security (EIS), where you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the entire EDF UK group. As part of a close-knit team of around 30 skilled professionals, you’ll help secure everything from our cloud environments to data centres and offices nationwide. What You’ll be doing
- Working as part of a security service support team you will be able to contribute and shape the way in which the team operates.
- Assist in supporting our customers that consume our security services and ensure Requests, Incidents or Escalations are being handled accordingly.
- Operate in line with our assurance and engagement standards
- Contribute towards adherence to our SLAs
- Contribute towards our KPIs that we use to measure the team’s performance
- Help us transform from an internal support team to an internal security service provider.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone with a solid foundational understanding of Enterprise Networking, with hands-on experience either in a network engineer or security engineer role, operating or maintaining network infrastructure.
You’ll have a strong working knowledge of next-generation firewalls and SASE platforms, exposure to email gateways, load balancers, and vulnerability management tools in a complex enterprise environment would be a big plus.
You’ll be someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, with a background in service-focused environments. Clear communication, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively are key to success in this role.
You’ll have experience coordinating escalations in fast-paced environments, with a knack for working across multiple technologies. A solid grasp of enterprise security controls is essential, and if you have any experience in cloud security, that will be highly valued.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable using ITSM platforms and can collaborate seamlessly with both IT and business-facing teams. Your enthusiasm for working within a highly technical team, learning and developing your own skills as well as helping others grow, will make you a great fit for this role.
