About the Role

Are you passionate about accelerating the UK’s transition to net zero?

Do you have experience in product ownership, development, and delivery?

If so, we’d love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

EDF’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) team is the market leader in buying power from renewable generators across Great Britain. We provide renewable generators with a reliable route to market and play a key role in enabling new renewable projects to come online.

As our new PPA Product Owner, you’ll be at the heart of our business—enabling us to drive the growth of our offtake portfolio through the continual development of our systems, commercial propositions and services. You’ll manage and prioritise the change pipeline, aligning it with business value and strategic goals. You’ll also define a clear product and commercial roadmap, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.

Pay, benefits and culture

Alongside a salary of circa £56,000 (depending on experience) and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.

We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll have ownership of the commercial and technical roadmap and backlog, ensuring strong communication, prioritisation and execution. Work closely with PPA Senior Managers, the Director of PPA and wider teams to shape strategy and define product enhancements.

Effectively manage digital change initiatives within an Agile product team to support the PPA team’s success. Create business cases for new offerings and process enhancements and always champion a customer-centric and data-informed approach to product development.

Who you are

The GB energy market is fast-moving and competitive—your role will be key to ensuring EDF remains a leader in this space. We’re seeking someone who brings creativity, energy, and a proactive mindset.

You’ll have proven experience in Product Ownership or Business Analysis, and be able to create and refine user stories, wireframes, acceptance criteria, backlogs and roadmaps. You’ll also possess a solid understanding of software and systems. You’ll ideally have previous experience of working with technology products within a commercial setting, and are familiar with Agile or SAFe frameworks. Knowledge of UK Energy Markets, Energy Trading, Renewables and PPAs is also desirable.

You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders of all levels. You’ll be proactive with strong organisational skills. As well as being adaptable in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage situations with conflicting priorities.

Closing date for applications: Thursday 31st July

Location: London (Hybrid working) - We welcome applications from candidates based outside of London
