If you’re ready to bring your expertise to a role that values autonomy, empathy, and impact—while helping Britain achieve Net Zero—this could be the opportunity for you.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Occupational Health Nurse/Technician to join our dedicated team at Dungeness B on a permanent basis. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things Occupational Health, offering guidance and support to employees across the site.
You’ll work closely with staff, line managers, and HR professionals, providing advice on statutory legislation and best practices. This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on employee wellbeing and safety.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
The salary range associated with this role is between £35,059 - £42,383. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.
We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.
We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our Occupational Health service, conducting health surveillance, fitness for work medicals, and health assessments including drug and alcohol testing. You’ll also offer mental health advice and support, helping to foster a culture of wellbeing across the site.
You’ll work autonomously, using your interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with employees. Your guidance will help shape a safe and supportive working environment, ensuring our teams are fit, healthy, and ready to contribute to our mission.
By implementing and supporting occupational health programmes, you’ll play a key role in prioritising employee health and safety, making a tangible impact on our journey to Net Zero.
