Join our NNB Supply Chain Client function as an Insight & Risk Commercial Lead and be at the forefront of driving effective data reporting and strategic risk mitigation.
Opportunity…
In this role, you will support the Senior Commercial Lead in achieving the objectives of the Client function, driving smarter decisions, sharper strategy and supporting stronger Commercial performance. You will lead data reporting and insight initiatives, alongside identifying and mitigating contractual risks associated with large-scale projects. As the Commercial Lead for the Insight & Improvement team, you will develop and manage strategic reporting for the Supply Chain function, ensuring world class reporting that gives intelligent insight into areas for improvement.
You will build strong working relationships across various Hinkley Point C (HPC) programmes and support functions, driving best practice and supporting improvement. Your focus will also include managing Supply Chain risks, from strategic risks to escalated claims and disputes, working closely with the Senior Commercial Lead to support the Supply Chain Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Pay, benefits and culture…
Alongside a salary starting from £95,000, depending on experience. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What you’ll be doing…
As the Commercial Lead, you will ensure that the reporting and insight delivered by the Insight & Improvement team are of a high quality. Working with key stakeholders, you will meet all business requirements to a high standard, adding commercial insight to amalgamated findings and highlighting key commercial risks in all reports.
You will collaborate with those delivering reporting, data, insight, and commercial assurance, identifying trends and areas of concern across the Supply Chain. Maintaining oversight of key Supply Chain risks, you will support managing and reporting on risk performance.
In accordance with the Managing Contract Dispute Resolution IMS process, you will also ensure potential conflicts and disputes are appropriately supported. This includes providing guidance and working closely with Programme teams to minimise the risk of escalation. You will work with leadership to drive the delivery of actions addressing identified strategic commercial risks.
Who you are…
We are seeking a Commercial Lead, who has an exceptional understanding of data and reporting principles, with strong commercial acumen. Your relationship and stakeholder management skills, particularly at leadership and executive levels, are exemplary. You work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, supporting analysis and improvement across diverse topics.
Your experience with common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) and/or major projects is essential, along with knowledge of UK Law and its impact on the contract and commercial function. You’ll have proven industry-leading experience delivering Board level insight reports and strong Commercial risk experience..
Your problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, and communication skills will be exquisite, Alongside a broad understanding of assurance delivery approaches and strategies. You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, with a strong understanding of data management and reporting principles, extensive risk management experience, and membership in a relevant professional body. Your commercial and contract management skills are highly developed, and you can identify strategies driving sustainable organisational innovation.
