Developing knowledge of functional safety and its application to control systems will be key.

As the Intelligent Customer, you'll undertake technical reviews and client acceptance of engineering and safety documentation, participate in technical meetings, and provide advice on safety and plant control systems. Writing and reviewing technical specifications, engineering reports, and safety reports will also be part of your role.

Who you are

A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering, computer science, mathematics, or science discipline is required, and chartered status or working towards it with a relevant professional body is advantageous. You should have experience in the specification, design, implementation, verification, validation, and/or substantiation of high integrity/safety-critical control systems.

Knowledge of standards applicable to high integrity control systems, SCADA systems, PLCs, and HMIs is essential. Familiarity with analogue and digital safety and plant control systems, software development lifecycle, and systems engineering principles is important. If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
