Over the past five years, EDF has created a dedicated company – Hynamics – to work on the production and distribution of low carbon and renewable hydrogen. Hynamics is currently operating in three countries, France, Germany and UK. The developments in the UK have been successful so far and led to the creation in September 2023 of an affiliate Hynamics UK Limited, 100% owned by Hynamics SAS in France.
Our successful development is now leading us to look for a Finance Manager who will oversee financial operations across both parent companies and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). This role is ideal for a finance professional with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, who can form good internal and external relationships quickly. This is a new job creation in a friendly, fast-growth environment with plenty of challenges.

You will be managing financial operations for the parent company and multiple SPVs, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. This will include overseeing the preparation of financial statements, consolidations, and any intercompany reconciliations as well as managing the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for Hynamics and its SPV’s.
You will be responsible for the monthly bank and control account reconciliations for Hynamics and its SPV’s, ensuring balance sheet is reviewed and controlled and ensuring PO’s and invoices are appropriately authorized according to DoA for Hynamics and its SPV’s.
You will prepare Financial Board Packs, monthly management accounts, analysis and financial statements for Hynamics and its SPV’s. You will also need to ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
You will work closely with CFO to develop financial strategies and also liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
Your profile:
You will need to be CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, ideally with a minimum 6 years post qual experience and preferably with experience of accounting for several entities. You will also need to have strong management and financial accounting experience together with excellent communication skills.
Benefits:
