The Opportunity 

Join us as a Finance Business Partner, providing key financial insights and analysis to senior leaders to support strategic decision-making. You’ll lead monthly financial reporting for the Zero Carbon Homes Business Unit, manage consolidated reporting for our subsidiaries, and drive cost-saving and margin improvement initiatives. Collaborating with finance and commercial teams, you’ll deliver accurate forecasts and clear commentary on financial performance to stakeholders, including directors. You’ll also handle ad-hoc tasks to support the wider finance function.

What you’ll be doing 

Your responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end monthly financial reporting for the Zero Carbon Homes Business Unit, covering Gross Margin and OPEX, while explaining variances against budgets and forecasts through detailed analysis. You’ll also oversee consolidated financial reporting for our subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate group reporting by collaborating with their finance teams. Providing clear, insightful written commentary on financial performance to the Customers Finance Leadership Team, Customers Executive, and Corporate Finance monthly will be a core part of your role.  

You’ll present financial updates to senior stakeholders, including directors, and work alongside the Zero Carbon Homes Commercial Team, subsidiary finance teams, and others to deliver accurate forecasts for P&L, Cash, and Balance Sheet during annual and in-year planning cycles.  

Who you are 

To excel in this role, you’ll need excellent communication skills and a strong drive to collaborate across teams. You should have sharp analytical abilities and a logical mindset, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture and understand how commercial decisions impact overall business performance.  

A continuous improvement mindset is essential, enabling you to identify and implement enhancements to systems and processes. While teamwork is important, you must also be able to work independently. Experience with Anaplan and SAP is desirable, along with strong Excel and financial modeling skills.  

You’ll be a Chartered Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or working towards your chartership. Above all, you’ll be committed to health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental sustainability, helping us operate as a responsible and sustainable business.
