About the Role

A career that will deliver change. Together, we’ll help Britain achieve Net Zero

Aztec West, Bristol (hybrid working)

Are you ready to help shape the future of low-carbon energy in the UK?

Join EDF EPR Engineering UK and play a pivotal role in delivering the next generation of nuclear power stations. As part of a dynamic, multicultural team, you’ll be at the heart of engineering excellence, driving innovation and integration across two of the most ambitious energy projects in Europe—Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.

As Equipment Integration Lead, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring design maturity and configuration management across multidisciplinary teams. You’ll guide technical direction, resolve cross-functional challenges, and support the seamless integration of complex systems. This is a high-impact leadership role where your expertise will directly influence the success of two major nuclear infrastructure programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Equipment Integration Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind integration efforts within the Integrated Team Bristol (ITB) Equipment team. You’ll set objectives, monitor performance, and ensure design maturity and stability across the board. Your leadership will be key in resolving technical challenges and coordinating stakeholders across buildings, systems, and contracts.

You’ll manage networks of coordinators, oversee open point resolution, and act as a central interface for technical issues. Your role will involve reporting progress, escalating critical topics, and guiding decision-making processes within governance forums. You’ll also lead the implementation of UKDC processes and ensure the maturity of impact analyses.

Beyond technical oversight, you’ll champion best practices in integration and configuration management, fostering collaboration across teams and driving continuous improvement. This is a strategic role with real influence, offering the chance to shape outcomes on some of the UK’s most significant energy projects.

Who You Are

You’re an experienced engineering professional with a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. You bring leadership experience from highly regulated environments and have a deep understanding of EPR design and engineering processes. Your knowledge of UK regulations and nuclear industry standards is robust, and you’re confident in setting objectives and driving team performance.

You’re a natural communicator and collaborator, able to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams and bring a calm, pragmatic approach to complex challenges. Your inclusive mindset and proactive attitude make you a role model for others, and you’re passionate about creating a positive, engaging work culture.

Ideally, you’ll also have experience managing teams and interfacing with regulators. Fluency in English is essential, and French language skills are a bonus.

Applications close for this role on Friday 5th September, with interviews following shortly after.
