About the Role

Join us as the Product Owner for M365 Core Tenant & Infrastructure and help shape the future of how our people work.

You’ll own the strategy and roadmap for our Microsoft 365 tenant and the core Windows Server infrastructure behind it – the backbone of our Digital Workplace. Collaborating with teams across IT, security and operations, you’ll make sure our M365 environment is secure, efficient, reliable and ready to power a smarter, more connected organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building the product vision, in collaboration with the Enterprise Product Manager, for communication to and acceptance by key stakeholders. The Enterprise Product Owner aligns product vision, roadmap, product features and capabilities to the overall platform vision and roadmap.
  • Identifying value and continuous improvement opportunities and driving product roadmap and features, including functional and performance benchmarking. This may require the Enterprise Product Owner to work in collaboration with other Enterprise Product Owners to ensure product roadmap alignment and dependency management.
  • Building, managing and refining the product backlog. This includes authoring user stories and acceptance criteria for the agile team to build, test and deploy.
  • Building prioritised sprint or iteration plans for agile teams to develop against and ensuring this is communicated to the Senior Enterprise Product Manager or Enterprise Product Manager, and the Release Train Programme Manager, who approve the plans.
  • Coordinating communications and escalations to the Senior Enterprise Product Manager or Enterprise Product Manager and facilitating resolution of risks and issues related to the product backlog.
  • Ensuring sprint or iteration efficiency and continuous improvement by establishing and measuring performance of sprints and agile teams. Participates in sprint retrospectives to drive continuous improvements and actionable commitments with the agile teams.
  • Establishing and reviewing product goals, sprint objectives and success metrics to ensure consistent delivery of value to customers. Continually improving product value by prioritising user stories, bugs and feature requests based on customer feedback.

Who you are   

  • A balance between technical and business acumen. A track record of delivering Software, Platform or Infrastructure as-a-Service solutions in energy, utilities or similar sector.
  • A proven understanding of cloud and digital technologies and how that can be applied to support customer value and bring business benefits – customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience of launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, Agile and SAFe principles;
  • Understanding of the evolving compliance and regulatory requirements and environment and how to incorporate technology, infrastructure and security requirements into the product design;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment;
  • An excellent leader who can facilitate sprint ceremonies, guiding and advising agile team members and being able to embed efficiencies
  • Experience in Product management and development.
