About the Role

Aztec West, Bristol (hybrid working)

A career that will deliver change. Together, we’ll help Britain achieve Net Zero.

Are you an experienced engineer or project manager? Do you have experience in design and engineering procedures? Are you looking to develop your expertise in the exciting and challenging environment of new nuclear build?

If so, join us as a Contracts Configuration Lead and you’ll join one of the most exciting and ambitious projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E), a subsidiary of Edvance, is at the forefront of delivering the next generation of nuclear power in the UK. As part of our mission, we are designing and constructing the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) and preparing for the replication of this design at Sizewell C (SZC). These projects are vital to providing low-carbon electricity to millions of homes and achieving the UK’s Net Zero goals.

We’re looking for a Contracts Configuration Lead to join our dynamic Equipment engineering sequence team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in managing complex engineering contracts and configuration processes across two of the most ambitious nuclear projects in Europe.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary associated with this role is £64,000 per annum (Grade C). We offer flexible benefits that support our employees’ physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. Examples include: a market-leading company pension scheme, a bonus plan, health cover, electric vehicle leasing, mental health support and employee discounts.

We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Contracts Configuration Lead for the HPC Equipment Scope, you’ll be at the heart of managing the engineering contract landscape for HPC and SZC. You’ll lead the coordination of contract configuration activities, ensuring that data and documentation flow seamlessly across teams and sequences. Your work will directly support the progress of engineering sequences and the resolution of scope gaps and non-conformance issues.

You’ll oversee the delivery of annual task orders, manage inter-sequence topics, and act as the main point of contact for post design transfer to site subjects. Your leadership will be key in driving maturity reporting, coordinating responses to contractual events, and ensuring alignment with internal procedures and standards.

This role also involves managing a dedicated team, fostering collaboration between UK and French counterparts, and ensuring that all activities are tracked, reported, and escalated appropriately to support project success.

Who You Are

You bring experience in engineering, project management, or contract management—ideally within the nuclear or highly regulated sectors. You’re confident navigating complex contract structures and thrive in multi-disciplinary environments where priorities shift and evolve.

You’re a natural collaborator, able to coach and support your team while maintaining a clear focus on delivery. Familiarity with EDF’s contract management systems and knowledge of HPC or Flamanville 3 (FA3) projects would be a strong advantage. French language skills are a bonus.

You’re someone who sees the bigger picture, understands the importance of process, and is ready to lead with purpose in a role that truly makes a difference.

Applications close for this role on Tuesday 22nd July, with interviews following shortly after.
