The Opportunity
As our HR Business Partner Consultant, you will work in partnership with designated line managers, providing professional advice and direction, commercial HR solutions and operational support to them, and enabling them to implement the business’s agreed people plans to improve Business Unit or function performance during each phase of transition.
This role is based out of either Gloucester Business Park or Atlantic Quay, working to a hybrid model with 2 -3 days in the office a week.

What you’ll be doing
Within this role, you will:
Reward: Partner with HR Business Partner Manager and line managers to execute reward plans, ensure fair salary reviews, bonuses, and incentives, and align remuneration packages with company policies.
Learning & Development: Support learning and development initiatives, prioritize business area needs, and collaborate on evaluating training effectiveness.
Diversity & Inclusion: Implement diversity and inclusion plans, promote a diverse culture, and address any business unit-specific challenges.
Organisation Design & Development: Support organizational change, including restructures, design, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while coaching line managers through change processes.
Resourcing & Workforce Planning: Ensure resource and workforce plans align with business goals, manage recruitment processes, and keep workforce plans up to date.
Talent & Succession Planning: Execute talent and succession plans, manage talent identification, and support mobility across the business.
Performance Management: Support line managers in managing individual and team performance, monitor completion rates, and address quality issues.
Employee Relations: Ensure employee relations strategies are implemented, support local engagement, and manage ER documentation. Lead investigations and manage complex employee cases from end to end.
Leadership: Provide coaching to line managers on problem-solving, behavioural change, performance management, and development.
Strategy Deployment: Support local execution of people plans, incorporating best practices aligned with business objectives.
HR Operational Delivery: Review and assess HR service delivery, ensure accurate HR records, and prompt managers to seek necessary HR support. Ensure alignment with the company’s Zero Harm ambition.
Who you are
You will be a Graduate/Associate member of CIPD, with a creative yet pragmatic approach to delivering high-quality HR support.
You’ll have strong commercial acumen, in-depth knowledge of employment law, and expertise in change management, performance management, reward, talent development, resourcing, and employee relations.
Demonstrating a strong professional network and a commitment to continuous development, you’ll be able to coach and influence line managers to achieve successful outcomes and challenge them effectively when needed.
