The Opportunity
We are seeking a People Development Partner to lead the development of skills, competencies, and both personal and professional growth across our organization.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Renewables People Teams, business and functional teams, and wider training groups. By gaining a deep understanding of their development needs, you’ll help ensure the delivery of high-quality learning opportunities.
With your expertise in skills and competency management—preferably within the Renewables sector—you will oversee the development strategy across the Renewables division. You’ll ensure that clear development paths are in place, empowering our people to gain the skills they need to reach their full potential.
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a salary of circa £55,000 DOE, potential to earn 5% bonus, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.

What you’ll be doing …
As a People Development Partner, you’ll provide expert advice and guidance on a range of learning and development solutions, tailored to individual, team, and functional needs. Through training needs analysis, you’ll work closely with the business to identify development priorities and design solutions that align with both individual and organizational goals.
You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including external providers, internal subject matter experts, Senior People Development Partners, Programme Managers, and People teams across Renewables, Corporate, and other business areas especially our Nuclear Training Team. In managing matrixed project teams, you’ll oversee the delivery and quality of both technical and behavioural learning solutions. You’ll also review evaluation data and key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
A key responsibility will be the oversight and management of our role and competency framework. You’ll play a vital role in the governance, implementation, and ongoing management of this framework, contributing significantly at both the steering group and functional levels.
Who you are..
We’re seeking an experienced training professional with expertise in technical skill development, competency management, and behavioural learning to join our team. Your experience in both technical and behavioural development will be key to ensuring a holistic approach to people development.
With a proven track record in designing and delivering impactful learning solutions—preferably within the Renewables or a related industry—you’ll serve as a trusted advisor. You’ll build strong relationships and influence the business to adopt the most effective development strategies.
Collaborating across teams, you’ll align development initiatives with business priorities and competency requirements. Using your analytical skills, you’ll identify development gaps and implement solutions with measurable outcomes for both individuals and teams.
Adaptable and self-sufficient, you’ll manage multiple priorities while meeting the unique needs of each stakeholder. You’ll be comfortable traveling to sites across the EDF estate as needed to strengthen stakeholder relationships, deepen your understanding of the business, and ensure that the development solutions you deliver are truly aligned with their needs.
