Parents and Guardians

A world of opportunities

Every year, young adults make one of the biggest decisions of their life – what to do after they finish studying Students are faced with many options during this process. It’s overwhelming!

You want your child to have the best possible start in their career following their education, and so do we. We have a range of schemes available for post GCSE and A-Level (or equivalent) students, as well as graduate and undergraduate schemes. The opportunity we can offer is incredible. In fact, many senior leaders within our business started their careers with us as apprentices or graduates.

Our trainees' wellbeing

Tailored to suit the needs of our specific schemes; our trainees receive support from mentors, line managers, careers managers and/or apprentice co-ordinators. We also have on-site occupational health services and a confidential employee helpline.

All health and wellbeing programmes are promoted via a Health and Wellbeing Hub on MyCampus, our employee e-learning platform. Our intranet, Pulse, carries health and wellbeing-related news and encouragement.

Diversity & inclusion

We’re about the people who work with us – celebrating their diversities and capturing the value that their differences bring.

Our attitude towards diversity is reinforced by our various employee networks – Women’s Network, LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Supporters Network, Disability and Carers Network, BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) Network, Working Parents’ Network and our most recent addition, the Forces Support Network. Our employee networks create a real sense of community and a workforce who feel that their opinions are valued.

Community programmes

Through our Helping Hands volunteering programme, our employees can spend two days of company time each year supporting local community and environmental projects.

By donating their time and energy, employees build relationships with community groups and charities, as well as contributing to projects that support the delivery of our sustainability strategy.

Every 3 years we partner with a charity to sponsor and raise money for over a 3-year period. Activities can range from on-site raffles, tombola’s, cake sale to employees doing sponsored walks, cycles and even skydives!
