Join us as a Principal Procurement Manager – Supply Chain Enablement, where you’ll shape the future of procurement by driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and ensuring our supply chain delivers maximum value to EDF Renewables.

 

Your Mission:

Lead the transformation from traditional, siloed procurement to a dynamic, interconnected ecosystem of capabilities that evolves with business needs. Your role will establish key enablers, mature processes, and empower a high-performing procurement team.

 

Key Areas of Impact:

 

Supplier Management

  • Align suppliers with our strategic goals through a structured, integrated framework.
  • Develop industry-leading processes for supplier onboarding, relationship management, and performance optimisation.
  • Enhance supplier resilience, mitigate risks, and unlock greater value through tailored training and collaborative initiatives.

Sustainability

  • Drive the adoption of ethical standards and sustainable sourcing across the supply chain.
  • Lead the measurement of Scope 3 emissions and integrate sustainability insights into procurement strategies.
  • Champion initiatives like onshoring, resource availability management, and critical material supply resilience.

Category Management

  • We are a maturing function and want to develop the complimentary function of effective Category Management.

Supplier Risk Management

  • Supplier risk management is a continuous process and must reflect market trends, such as Sustainability and/or Quality.

What you’ll be doing

 

This is your opportunity to lead with vision, inspire change, and drive meaningful impact. Are you ready to set the gold standard for supplier relationships and procurement excellence?

 

  • Architect of Excellence: Own and maintain the supplier relationship management (SRM) process and policy, ensuring it’s seamlessly integrated, communicated, and aligned with team and customer needs.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Be the go-to authority for supplier performance, assurance, and relationship management, driving best practices across the organization.
  • SRM Leader: Implement and oversee an impactful SRM program for strategic suppliers, ensuring it delivers measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Strategist: Partner with the Procurement Performance Lead, to monitor, manage, and mitigate third-party risks effectively.
  • Transformation Advocate: Lead the charge in communicating and presenting procurement transformation initiatives, inspiring teams and stakeholders with a clear vision and strategic goals.
  • Strategic Collaborator: Work closely with the Head of Procurement to design and maintain reporting tools that enable effective program implementation and oversight.
  • Team Builder: Inspire, train, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth.

What do you need to be great at this role?

 

You’ll have experience of supplier management programmes and/or senior supply chain management role within a complex, multisite global organization.

 

  • Able to design, develop and implement a robust supplier assurance programme that is recognized as leading edge both within EDF-R and externally.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, relevant regulations and legislation, and best practices.
  • Highly influential, able to drive change into traditional stakeholder relationships and gather business support for new ways of working that create value for EDF-R.
  • Strong negotiation skills, strong contractual and commercial competence
  • Experience of leading, negotiating and managing complex supplier agreements.
  • Proven capability of exceptional supplier relationship management at a Global, Regional and Local level.
  • Proven ability to develop suppliers through continuous improvement and innovation (better ways of working), utilising wide range of management and performance improvement tools & techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Adopts a collaborative approach.
  • Leads by example, is resilient and able to navigate complex challenges & deal with ambiguity.
  • MCIPS/Project Management or similar qualification preferred.
  • Post graduate qualification preferred.
  • World CC certification will be supported in role.
