Our Strategy & Analysis (S&A) team is responsible for valuing and assessing new investment opportunities, as well as providing insights on renewable market developments and competitor analysis to help set the strategic direction of the business. 

As Senior Analyst – Offshore Wind will be responsible for supporting the investment appraisal for our existing portfolio of offshore wind projects and a pipeline of new growth opportunities, including (but not limited to) acquisitions, disposals, auction bids and “blue-seas” development opportunities. 


Working on multiple projects across fixed and floating technologies in the GB and Irish markets, you will complete formal valuations and analysis to help inform development decisions, optimisation of projects and the underpinning of final investment decision in new projects.


Day to day you will:

•    Lead on investment appraisal activities by taking ownership for the running and development of associated valuation models. This will include both project and equity return metrics.
•    Be the lead contact (Business Partner) to the Offshore Wind team, managing and prioritising their requests for analysis and valuation. Where applicable this may involve oversight to more junior members of the team.
•    Communicate the impact of valuation and financial analysis to senior decision makers and development teams (or other non-financial teams) within the business to aid decision support
•    Contribute to operating efficiency and best practice within the S&A team through review / challenge of models and process, including to deputising for other S&A Business Partners where required.
•    Provide  analytical support to other areas within S&A including, but not limited, assessing the impact of policy and regulatory changes, corporate PPA pricing and M&A valuations.
•    Manage internal and external stakeholders relating to valuation and financing activities associated with projects or transactions.

The Person


You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of investment appraisal and financial modelling, ideally in the renewables or a similar capital intensive industry and although prior experience in offshore wind and/ or project finance modelling will be advantageous; a passion and enthusiasm to develop and contribute to the growth of the EDF-R is a must.
