The Renewables Commercial Graduate Programme:  


Our Renewables Commercial Graduate scheme is a fantastic opportunity for Graduates who’re passionate about the renewable energy business.  


Over this 3-year programme, you’ll learn from experts, develop a commercial understanding of the renewable energy sector and complete placements supporting of commercial, strategic and analytical business decisions.

We’re passionate about your development and offer a tailored training path that will develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours both during the scheme and in your future career. 


Recent graduates have worked on projects such as: 


  • Supporting the growth and expansion of the EDF Renewables Solar Team and leading on developing new propositions as part of energy solutions 
  • Supporting a project to flex heating systems usage outside of peak periods in council blocks, using smart tech to save money for customers 
  • Taking a key role in investment analysis and financial modelling for EDF’s first Renewable energy project in Ireland, ahead of Final Investment Decision, presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

Where you’ll work:  


You will be based out of our state of the art offices in either Durham or Edinburgh, with agile homeworking opportunities. We’ll be on hand with practical and financial support if you relocate. 



What you’ll need to apply:  


  • 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree (obtained or expected) in any discipline, although degrees such Environmental Policy, Finance or Maths would be of specific interest 
  • An understanding and passion for the renewable energy industry 
  • Commercial understanding, analytical abilities, communication skills and a talent for leadership 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and thrive in fast-paced environments
