Compliance Engineer (PIVOT)

As Grid Compliance Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring engineering excellence in the delivery of Grid and Electrical services across our rapid growth and diversification across technologies. 

Providing grid and Electrical services within our in the Engineering Team and wider business you will add value to opportunities in a highly competitive and changing marketplace while ensuring appropriate Engineering and Quality standards are maintained.

Developing and maintaining relationships across the business you will also manage external partnerships with our supply chain, Industry bodies, technical standards organisations, academia/research bodies, and wider network in order to enhance, promote, and protect our activity and brand.  

Day to day duties


•    Ensure all Grid and Electrical assessments, advice and recommendations are fully documented in accordance with all internal procedures
•    Support technical and commercial due diligence (whether internal or external) activities
•    Responsible for ensuring Grid and Electrical risks are identified, captured, recorded and addressed appropriately 
•    Ensure that Grid and Electrical lifetime costs are optimised during the origination, design, and construction of EDF Renewable assets
•    Undertake compliance related activities in a diligent and professional manner  to ensure the grid connection conditions are met for both transmission and distribution projects
•    Maintain a suitable level of expertise in the  compliance requirements for both transmission and distribution connections
•    Conduct transmission and distribution Connection Offer reviews and ensuring conformance to all the conditions are met by third parties

The Candidate


To be considered for this role you will be an a experienced Engineer with experience of having successfully managed the compliance process from start to finish projects/programmes with the ability to establish and manage relationships, ensuring a secure and maintaining a safe environment and inspiring and influencing behaviours and actions.

With a minimum of an Engineering degree in a relevant discipline, chartered membership of an appropriate body would be an advantage as would experience the renewable energy sector.
