As part of the Central Technical Organisation (CTO) the EDF Renewables Engineering Team provides engineering governance, oversight and support for all asset types across their lifecycle from origination to decommissioning. 

Now a wholly owned subsidiary of EDF Renewables, Pivot Power has an extensive portfolio of approximately 2GW of projects throughout the country at various stages of development, including 100MW of operational assets.

As Commissioning Engineer you will provide senior leadership within our grid and electrical team expertise and focus on all matters related to the commissioning of HV Infrastructure and associated equipment supporting services across all EDF Renewables Directorates and for the full lifecycle of assets from origination to decommissioning.

What you’ll be doing..

•    Ensure Engineering activities associated with Commissioning of Electrical Infrastructure across EDF Renewables are undertaken in accordance with statutory requirements, and EDF Renewable policies including Zero Harm, Quality, Engineering, and Design Management policies
•    Set and monitor the Commissioning strategy and develop commissioning documentation for all renewable assets, ensuring that commissioning activities meet the project milestones and quality targets
•    Ensure that operational learning from commissioning activities and operational requirements are key considerations in the origination, design and construction of HV assets and associated equipment
•    Embed the consideration of risk and lifetime costs in all Engineering activities
•    Deliver test specifications and commissioning instructions at all stages in the life cycle of the assets including factory and site acceptance testing

Who you are..

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Commissioning Engineer within the renewable energy or similar sector with track record in successfully delivering projects/programmes, establishing/managing relationships, securing and maintaining a safe environment, managing priorities, and inspiring and influencing behaviours and actions.

With a minimum of a HNC/HND in C & I/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline, accreditation under WTSR or HVSR would be desirable. 

You must have a full UK driving licence.
