In this role, you will ensure that project teams have the required resources and that personnel meet Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) standards. You will work to identify and address any shortfalls or issues within the team, contributing to the smooth execution of project activities.
Collaborating closely with the Senior Project Manager, you will assist in developing and implementing strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP). This includes managing project schedules, maintaining stakeholder communication, and ensuring that all contract or package activities are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Monitoring progress, managing risks, and escalating any significant issues will also be key aspects of this role.
You will help maintain alignment with broader project schedules and collaborate across programmes to share best practices. Your focus will be on driving efficiency, resolving issues, and keeping stakeholders informed with regular updates and reports.
Who you are
We are looking for a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our team. While a degree or similar qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field is desirable, it is not essential. You will also hold a professional qualification in Project Management, such as APM PPQ or a recognised equivalent.
A strong understanding of leadership in complex projects is essential, along with a working knowledge of CDM Regulations. You should possess proficient numeracy, analytical, and critical reasoning skills, and have experience with estimating, scheduling, programming, risk management, and Earned Value Management tools. Excellent presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills are crucial for success in this role.
The role requires a demonstrated understanding of nuclear quality assurance and control, as well as project management experience in various sectors, including engineering design, contract execution, and multi-discipline EPCM projects. Additionally, you will have experience managing commercial claims, engaging with multi-level stakeholders, and operating within NEC and FIDIC commercial arrangements.
If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
