The Opportunity

 

Our exciting Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, when completed, will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years which, along with renewables, will support Britain’s Net Zero aim by 2050.  Our Joint Design Office (JDO) team has been established to provide a fast response to engineering queries and problems so the construction works continue with minimal delay.


As Coordinator, you’ll be supporting the Change Management Board (CMB) team to help manage the change management process during the construction of the HPC project.

The Role

 

You’ll be responsible for collating information from various construction areas of the project ahead of the CMB meetings and for tracking the actions identified.


Specifically, you’ll be accountable for:

 

  • Ensuring that information is in the appropriate template
  • Maintaining minutes from each CMB meeting
  • Ensuring the appropriate workflow is provided in the product lifecycle management platform
  • Contributing to monthly metrics on CMB performance to demonstrate process effectiveness
  • Escalating issues when appropriate to the Area Manager or Configuration Manager

To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

 

  • Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders and challenging where necessary
  • A tenacious approach to ensuring topics are progressed to completion on time
  • Resilience, adaptability and a willingness to learn and develop
  • The ability to work and act autonomously 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools
  • Strong written and verbal English

 

Desirable:

 

  • A basic understanding of engineering projects
  • An understanding of project schedule and cost elements
