Your role will involve developing an integrated and constructable Level 4 schedule to mitigate risks to on-site construction and installation activities. You will anticipate, manage, and resolve area-specific issues, identify risks, and escalate critical matters to the Senior Project Manager as needed. Maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders and contributing to "Best for Project" decision-making will be essential.
Focusing on medium-term planning, you will ensure construction and installation activities progress without delays. This includes leading discussions on sequencing, managing contractor interfaces, and collaborating across project areas to ensure alignment. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned and knowledge capture into daily operations, with a focus on opportunities for Unit 2 of the Turbine Hall.
Who you are
You will have a degree in engineering, construction, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are essential, along with the ability to influence and build effective networks. You are required to be highly organised and capable of developing and maintaining strong working relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
You will have significant experience managing contractors, consultants, and SMEs on large, complex construction projects within regulated environments. You should have a proven track record of successfully engaging large stakeholder groups and collaborating effectively to achieve project goals. Strong management skills in project delivery, change management, and facilitation are essential. Proficiency in tools related to estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk management, is advantageous.
Experience in large, technically complex projects is an advantage. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate expertise in managing and developing safe systems of work, quality management, and multi-discipline EPCM projects. Knowledge in engineering design, contract and field execution strategies, as well as the ability to control costs, mitigate risks, manage schedules, and oversee change processes, is critical for success in this role.
If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
